Department of Software Engineering
The Department is primarily responsible for the R&D and teaching of the undergraduate program in Software Engineering. It currently has 21 faculty members, including:
- 3 Professors, 8 Associate Professors
- 2 PhD Supervisors, 15 Master Supervisors
- One Shandong Provincial Distinguished Lecturer
- Two University-Level Distinguished Lecturers
Teaching Excellence & Talents Training
- Developed an in-house OJ (Online Judge) platform for software development and programming.
- Built multiple Provincial and University-level excellent courses, including Programming Fundamentals and Database Systems.
- Hosted multiple National, Provincial and university-level pedagogy projects.
- Recognized as a Provincial-Level Distinguished Lecturer Team on Data Structures and Programming.
The Department has won 3 Provincial Teaching Achievement Awards (Second Class) and multiple university-level awards. Faculty members have received honors including SDUST Role Model for Teacher Ethics, Most Memorable Mentor, Excellent Teacher, and My Favorite Teacher.
Student Innovation & Competition Success
Outstanding Competition Results: Students have achieved top rankings in Shandong province in national software and programming contests, including the China Software Cup, Blue Bridge Cup, ACM-ICPC, and Qilu Software Cup. Multiple faculty members have been recognized as Outstanding Innovation Mentors.
