Departments Overview
The School of Computer Science and Engineering offers comprehensive academic and research programs across five dynamic departments, driving innovation in computing, intelligence, security, and software.
Department of Artificial Intelligence
Established in 2018, offers the Intelligent Science and Technology program. All 21 faculty hold PhDs, with strong research in AI, machine intelligence, and smart systems. It hosts key platforms including the Shandong Provincial Collaborative Innovation Center for Next Generation AI.
Department of Computer Science and Technology
Founded in 1985, this flagship program is a National First-Class Major, with a PhD program, Postdoc station, and engineering accreditation. Ranked #1 in Shandong province for engineering admissions in 2021.
Department of Information Security
Focuses on cultivating professionals with strong ethical values and technical expertise in cybersecurity. The faculty leads national and provincial projects in security research.
Department of Internet of Things Engineering
One of China’s first IoT programs (est. 2010). Offers a “Device-Edge-Cloud” curriculum with strengths in industrial and mobile IoT. Ranked 45th nationally according to ShanghaiRanking (Grade A) in 2023.
Department of Software Engineering
Features a self-developed OJ platform and a provincial-level teaching team in data structures. The faculty includes Taishan Scholars and distinguished lecturers. Strong performance in national competitions like the China Software Cup and Blue Bridge Cup.
